Gold, gold and one more GOLD!

Congratulating the Takler Family on their big success in the VinAgora Wine Competition 2012 in Budapest,
today you can read about their work and philosophy! Their wines are adorable and can give you unforgettable impressions.

The Takler winery is one of Szekszárd’s most highly regarded producers. The family has dealt with winegrowing and winemaking since the 1700’s in the exceptional Southern wine region, Szekszárd.
Their current winery, established in 1987, is controlled by „the consultative board of three”: Ferenc Takler and his two sons - András és Ferenc.

The Takler „Trio” is now farming on 59,6 + 2 Ha (waiting for plantation), most of which is situated in the best locations of the wineregion and producing mostly Kékfrankos, Cab.Franc., Merlot , Syrah und Kadarka varieties.

In order to grow the finest grapes at the same quality, high density of the wines (5.500-6.000/hectare) are planted applying modern training systems. The guarrantee for the quality of their wine is the excellent riped grapes, achieved through strict controlling of quantity (1-2,5 kilogramm/wine plant depending on the type.)

Thanks to their hard work and vigorous efforts, they have reached an excellent reputation on the national and international market. In 2004, the elder Ferenc Takler obtained the appreciative designation: Winemaker of the Year 2004. The winery is continually scoring full marks in national and international wine competitions, such as this year in the VinAgora (International Wine Competition in Budapest, where they had got 3 Gold medals, moreover one of them is BIG GOLD!!) or in the Les Citadelles du Vin in Bordeaux.

Their philosophy is creating dark, full-bodied, round and harmonic wines rich in tannins and spicy flavours representing the wine region with unique elegance. You can leave their wines min. 5-10 years in the cellar. You will not be disappointed!! ;)) But of course, it is not necessary to wait with them so long! I am sure, you can enjoy them as of now!
